Fabric Folding and Sewing Room

Okay, I have to expand on my last post about the fabric folding. As I said, my folded fabric is just an oasis is a sea of confusion. Here's an oasis:

Here's the sea that it lives in:

You'll notice a lot of boxes. Well, believe me, there are a lot more. You'll notice a cutting table. How do I cut on that with all of that (shit) very important stuff on there? Well, I've managed. Have you seen the blocks I've done?

If you look closely, you'll see this oasis in the above picture:Here is my latest and greatest oasis. These fabrics are just SO yummy. This fabric folding was done while I was supposed to be doing my taxes.

And here is it's Sea of Confusion:This Sea is actually worse than it looks - I've cut off some of the boxes and stuff next to it. And yes, that's my sewing table on the left.

So, you see, even though I've been folding, I still have a mass of STUFF everywhere. Plus, I share my sewing room with our computers. So, many times, there are five of us in here. Wouldn't it be great if I could make this room into a REAL oasis? Wouldn't it be great if I could make it a Posy Heaven? Or, hell, like Monica's room, or Autum's, or Elizabeth's, or any other room that I covet (there are plenty)?

Maybe one day. In the meantime, Sammi will be very happy if I never get rid of these boxes.

I love how cats will sleep on the highest tower in total comfort and casual fearlessness. Cute kitty!

Lordy lou, I still have unpacked boxes all over my house in various places. Oh well. We do what we can.

It's too bad you have to share your space with five other people, but maybe eventually you can find some other corner for them and take over the WHOLE ROOM.

Before we got the retail spot that we have now my sewing was at our house and I didn't have so much space. I admit that it's nice to be able to spread out.

Before you know it, all those boxes will be gone and you'll have a sewing haven! Til then, keep on drinkin' the Kool-aid! :)

studio and sewing havens are precious places and a quilters sanctuary, it does not matter what it looks like as long as you are happy. I do love have you have arranged the colours of folding stash material. its a child playing with pencil crayons just arranging them in order where the correct colours should be, like organising a rainbow. Nothing should beat that magical feeling and arranging colours with material is definetely that.

happy Quilting

Oh yes...the proverbial nice clean crafting room. I suppose it's wonderful, if that is what one likes...I like wandering in and finding these little oasis myself. And folding instead of taxes? Why not...my room mate and I always reorganized our entire wardrobes whenever we were supposed to be studying for tests in school...how productive!!
