Now, this is just the beginning, and they're not color sorted, and not put away, but look at that. Just LOOK at that beauty. Okay, it doesn't look as good as Monica's, or Autum's. Heavy Sigh. But, you know I do have Posy Envy and maybe one day my room can look even remotely like one of theirs.
Still working on my blocks.
I couldn't do it the way Allsorts did it. I just couldn't have blocks that didn't have NINE DIFFERENT FABRICS in them. So, I just cut all the blocks first, then rearranged the squares, and then sewed. And would you believe it - just look at those two blocks! I screwed it up! Yes, 9 different fabrics - the seams match a little better - but the POSITION of the colored blocks are wrong.
I'm not going to rip them apart. I'm not going to rip them apart. I'm not going to rip them apart.

As you well know, I completely understand the Posy envy. Right there with you sister. (Isn't it weird when women call each other "sister"? Sometimes I just have to try it out again to see how weird it sounds coming from me.)
I must say that I think your very tidy stack of fabric is quite admirable. I must go reread the Kool Aid part of that post of Monica's.
What's wrong with those squares?
Dang it. Between you and PKM I am just itching like mad to start a quilt. I think I'll settle for a duvet cover for the guest bedroom which my mom is going to live in for a couple of months while she gets surgery and recovers. Then I'll do a quilt for ME.
Okay, everyone is going nutty with this folding. I guess I'm going to have to drink the koolaid this weekend.
I'm with Angelina, what's wrong with the squares? They look darling to me.
What if you turn the blocks different ways? Then would they be wrong? It could make a very cool quilt! :)
Thanks for the compliments!
Okay, what's wrong with the squares - really, it's just me being a perfectionist. I am going to make a quilt with the squares. After I obsess about what color to do the sashing.
I'm not drinking the kool-aid. I'm cracking up over the blocks, both look good to me. You know Michelle-who-drinks-the-koolaid, that technique is suppposed to free you from your controlling ways.. you're supposed to be carefree in your pile rearranging. Don't you cut the first cut, then move the top fabric to the bottom then make your next cut and do it again or some kind of thing like that so it all ends up mixed? Either way, still cute. Have fun.
