Okay, here's the purple room. I'm not sure that you can really appreciate the true purpley essence of this room from the picture. 
Three walls are the lighter color, and the one wall is the darker color. Goes pretty well with the quilt, eh?

Wow! You can hardley tell it's a color at all. But it does look good with the quilt! Was she surprised? Or did she know you were going to do that?
She knew - she helped paint! Well, until she got bored. I know it's not dark, but when you walk in, it's purple!
That is really pretty. My youngest daughter's room in WA was purple. My husband thought it was too dark, but us girls liked it. :)

I'm not a fan of purple rooms personally, but I'm a huge fan of people painting their walls in their favorite colors.
